Following the recent update to Government guidelines in relation to Hot Tubs and Spas in holiday accommodation, including self-catering units, we are offering the following recommendations.

Until we have been advised otherwise, ALL hot tubs currently being used in shared or individual holiday accommodation must be CLOSED and not used.

Please refer to the visitor economy section of the latest Government Guidance – Guidance for people who work in hotels and guest accommodation, indoor and outdoor attractions, and business events and consumer shows.

Section 2.2.2 relates to hot tubs and spas.
‘The following venues remain closed: nightclubs, casinos, bowling alleys and indoor skating rinks, indoor play areas including soft-play, spas, swimming pools (including pools, hot tubs and Jacuzzis in self-catered accommodation) and water parks.’

If we look after a hot tub in your accommodation we will be in contact and the hot tub will be closed on the next scheduled water change.

If you are self-managing your hot tub(s) we would recommend you take the same action and close the hot tubs until further notice.

We are members of BISHTA (the British & Irish Hot Tub Association) who have confirmed that hot tubs should be currently closed down in holiday settings until further updates.
We are in close contact with BISHTA who are working with Government bodies to find a way to reopen hot tubs in self-catering accommodations.
As things are constantly changing in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic, we could be updated at any time that we can reinstate the use of hot tubs in holiday accommodation, if this happens we will be in contact to restart services.
We understand that this is another blow to the holiday industry and something none of us want but we have to adhere to the Government guidelines and keep everyone safe.

We will be in contact as soon as we have more updates.
