Hot Tub Service engineer required.

Role summary

This role will primarily focus on providing a professional delivery and installation service of our hot tubs, swim spas, outdoor kitchens and gazebos within the South West.

A fully trained service engineer will be required to carry out general servicing and repairs, water changes and warranty calls.

Working days – Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The Cornish Hot Tubs office and showroom is at Indian Queen, TR9 6TL. Service engineers will be based here and travel daily around Cornwall and Devon to customers properties.

Applicants would need to be 25 years old + (due to the fleet vehicle insurance)

Required Skills

The successful candidate must hold a full, clean UK driving licence.

• Experience of driving vans with trailers would be advantageous.
• Practical skills are essential.
• Problem solving will be key as a service engineer.
• Experience with electrics or plumbing would fit well with this position.
• Must be flexible and keen to work extra hours during our busy season.
• Excellent customer service.
• Good communication skills and must be able to work well as part of a small team as well as individually.
• Delivery work can be strenuous so candidates must be physically fit.

Duties will include:

Hot Tub Delivery & Installation

• Transportation of Hot Tubs and Swim Spas within Cornwall and Devon from Store to customer’s site.
• Off loading of Spa’s at customer’s site and into final position. Some heavy lifting will be involved but every effort is made to make the delivery as easy as possible with specialist spa moving equipment. Deliveries are carried out in all weather conditions.
• Fitting of cover lifter and other accessories to the Spa.
• Connecting the Spa to Electrical supply left by our electricians and terminating correctly.
• Filling the Hot Tub with water, testing all functions once full.
• Correctly dosing the Hot Tub with chemicals.
• Demonstrating to the customer the functions of the Hot Tub and how to manage water chemistry correctly.
• Completion of our Hot Tub handover document, collection of payment when necessary.

Hot Tub Repairs

• Travel throughout Cornwall and Devon to service Hot Tubs, Swim Spa’s and Covana’s.
• Diagnose, suggest solutions and solve problems.
• Completion of Job sheet
• Take payment if required
• Source parts from various suppliers
• Communicate with customers

Hot Tub Servicing

• Flush the system and pipework.
• Full Function check of equipment including leak check.
• Spa drained and refilled with fresh water.
• All jets, interior and exterior of Spa fully cleaned.
• Water balanced.
• Customer care advice
• Complete service checklist

Customer Service

• We expect a high level of customer service at all times, offering a friendly service and work to a high standard in a timely manner.

Customer Support

• Offer technical support and advice to customers on a personal level, via telephone and email.
• Good communication is vital to keep our customers well informed.

Sales Support

• Assist in the showroom during busy periods or during annual leave.

Duties here would include talking to customers, assisting them with any questions and their purchases of chemicals, accessories and Spas.

Show Support

• Assist with setting up for County shows and exhibitions
• Erecting the Marquee’s and displaying show equipment, transporting Hot Tubs to the show and positioning.
• Assist during shows and events if required.

Training
Full on the job training will be given to enable the Job role to be fulfilled.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £13.00 per hour
