Tim Roberts

Known affectionately as “Hot Tub Tim”, Tim is the founder and Managing Director of Cornish Hot Tubs. After a decade in the IT industry as an Apple Mac and IT Engineer, Tim joined forces with his father, John, back in 2001, and Cornish Hot Tubs was born!

Bringing a wealth of technical expertise that transferred perfectly to the spa industry, Tim quickly established himself as one of Cornwall’s leading hot tub specialists. Over the past two decades, he has been trained by many of the world’s top hot tub and spa manufacturers and has personally delivered and installed thousands of hot tubs and swim spas, including full commercial spa installations across the region.

Tim has worked on just about every make and model in the industry and has built a strong network of contacts and suppliers, making him a valuable source of technical knowledge and support. As the driving force behind Cornish Hot Tubs, Tim leads the sales team and is renowned for his hands-on approach, deep industry knowledge, and customer-first attitude.

He thrives on the challenges of the commercial spa market and is passionate about providing every customer with the best service and advice possible.

Outside of work when he’s not running the business, Tim enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching rugby, walking the family dog, and playing in two brass bands — Newquay and Mount Charles.

Admin and Accounts

Emma Roberts

Since the company began, Emma has always been involved in Cornish Hot Tubs, officially joining as a partner in 2010. Bringing over 14 years of retail and HR experience, she quickly became an essential part of the team and now supports her husband, Tim, as a Director.

Emma’s wealth of organisational knowledge and people skills help keep the business running smoothly day-to-day. Based mainly in the showroom, she assists with sales but is most often found in the office managing accounts, administration, and operations. She also adds a welcome feminine touch to the workplace and keeps the team in line with good humour and professionalism.

Outside of work, Emma enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching rugby, walking her Labrador, Luna, and making the most of Cornwall’s great outdoors. A keen musician, she also plays in two brass bands — Newquay and Mount Charles — balancing a busy work and social life with energy and enthusiasm.

Service Manager

Matt Newman

Matt joined Cornish Hot Tubs in 2015 and now leads our busy Service Department as Service Manager, overseeing more than 300 customers who are part of our Pre-Paid Servicing programme. This popular plan allows customers to spread the cost of their annual service over 12 manageable payments — helping them keep their hot tubs in top condition with added benefits and peace of mind.

An electrician by trade, Matt has a deep understanding of the technology behind hot tubs and swim spas. With over 10 years’ experience in the spa industry here at Cornish Hot Tubs, he’s our go-to expert for all things technical, assisting customers with troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair advice. You’ll also often find Matt in the showroom sharing his extensive product knowledge and helping customers choose the perfect spa.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending quality time with his family and dog. In his downtime, he listens to a wide variety of music, loves to watch football and Formula 1, and enjoys relaxing with a gin (or two).

Engineering Manager

Matt O’Hare

Matt is our longest-serving team member, having joined Cornish Hot Tubs back in 2012. Over the years, he has become a truly invaluable part of the business, bringing a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience to the team.

Originally joining to assist with deliveries and general service work, Matt has progressed through the ranks and now oversees the engineering side of the business. As a fully qualified plumber, he has a real talent for problem-solving — and loves nothing more than fixing a tricky leak! With his extensive technical background, there’s very little Matt can’t repair, making him our go-to expert for repair work.  Matt also takes care of all our warranty work.

Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with his family and friends, getting outdoors for walks, and tending to his allotment, where he puts his practical skills to good use in a different way.

Service Engineer

Damion Silvey

Damion joined the Cornish Hot Tubs team in 2019 to support the expanding service side of the business, bringing with him a wealth of maintenance experience and hands-on know-how. Now a key member of our Service Team, he helps care for our ever-growing customer base — keeping hot tubs running smoothly and assisting with deliveries across Cornwall.

Known as our cheeky chappy, Damion is rarely seen without his trademark flat cap and friendly grin. When he’s not out on the road delivering a hot tub or visiting customers, you’ll find him enjoying the Cornish countryside with his much-loved rescue animals. A passionate animal lover, Damion shares his life with horses and dogs — all rescued and now thriving under his care.

Service Engineer

Craig Dymock

Craig joined the Cornish Hot Tubs team in July 2024 as a Service Engineer, bringing valuable experience from maintaining hot tubs in the holiday let industry. As a qualified Pool Plant Operator, Craig’s technical expertise and attention to detail make him a trusted member of our service team.

He also plays a key role in our sauna builds, where his practical skills and hands-on approach really shine. Always smiling and full of good humour, Craig is known for his jolly personality and positive attitude wherever he goes.
Outside of work, Craig is a keen DIY enthusiast and enjoys getting creative in the kitchen. When the weekend rolls around, you’ll often find him relaxing at his local pub with a well-earned pint (or two!).
